Cotehardie and surcotte

 

 

  The cotehardie is made of pure silk sateen according the Herjolfsnes garment (No.38). The neck opening and sleeve edges are decorated by an application made of dark blue stones and beads and golden thread embroidery. The sleeves are fasten by a row of golden pearls. The important accessories are: a belt with stones, a rosary given by Marsalek, a gold coated cross and a crown.
