Sayo

 

  Man’s garment from Spain at the beginning of the 16th century consists of a shirt (camisa), hose (calzas) and a jerkin (sayo). The basic artwork was a painting Martyrdom of Saint Cucuphas by Ayne Bru (1502 – 1507, Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, Barcelona)
