Tudor gown

inspired by portraits of wives and daughter of Henry VIII (ca 1540). This smock is based on extant piece belonging probably to Mary, Queen of Scotland (1575-85). Pattern can be found in J.Arnold (Patterns of fashion 4). For the construction is used openwork insertion seam. The sleeves and neck are embroidered by double running stitch.
