Bianca Maria Sforza
Beatrice d'Este married duke of Lombardy, Ludovico Sforza (1491) and
introduced the Spanish style. Ladies wore typical hair-dresses (trenzale).
The hairdo and neck were decorated by pearls and jewelry made of
black amber (ambra nera).
An example of
Spanish style adoption is a portrait of Bianca Maria Sforza (Ambrogio
da Predis, National Gallery of Art, Washinton, 1493).
