Clothing of Charles IV.
The basic
artwork for this garment was a depiction of Charles IV. at
Votive panel of Jan Ocko z Vlasimi (1371). The cloak was
alternated according to frescos at Holy Cross Chapel, Karlstejn
(1357, Mikulas Wurmser) and the pattern is based on the extant
piece from Domschatzkammer, Aachen. The clothing constists of
the semicircular cloak, dalmatic cuted according to the
Charles IV.’s burial garment, stole with eagles, cingulum, mitre and
crown.
